A30 Reopens After Crash: Traffic Returns to Normal
The A30, a crucial A-road in Cornwall, has resumed its normal flow after a brief disruption caused by a crash on the evening of February 1, 2023. The eastbound lane between Lockengate and Lanhydrock was temporarily closed, but has now been reopened to traffic.
According to the initial report by Inrix, a leading traffic monitoring service, the closure was due to an accident on the A30 eastbound stretch from A389 (Innis Down Junction, Lockengate) to A38 (Carminow Cross, Lanhydrock). Inrix first reported the incident just before 7 pm, and approximately 45 minutes later, they confirmed that the road had been reopened, with the accident cleared from A391 (Innis Downs Junction, Lockengate) to A38 (Carminow Cross, Lanhydrock).
Despite the road's reopening, traffic and queues may persist as the area returns to its usual state. This is a common occurrence after such incidents, as drivers adjust to the new road conditions and traffic patterns.
