Fallout Season 2 Premiere Date Announced! Early Release & Weekly Episodes Explained (2026)

Fallout fans, the countdown to re-enter the wasteland just got a little shorter. Prime Video announced on Monday that Fallout season 2 will premiere a day earlier than planned. Instead of December 17, the new release date is December 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Unlike the first season, which dropped all at once for binge-watching, this season will follow a weekly release cadence. That means only one episode will be available on December 16, with new episodes premiering each week until the finale on February 4, 2026.

Season 2 is set to incorporate elements from the beloved game Fallout: New Vegas. By the end of season 1, Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan) fled to New Vegas, and now his daughter Lucy (Ella Purnell) along with the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) are closing in on him. Lucy aims to bring Hank to justice, while the Ghoul seeks the location of his wife Barb (Frances Turner) and daughter Janey (Teagan Meredith). Along the way, viewers will encounter factions such as the Kings and Caesar’s Legion in New Vegas.

On another front, Maximus (Aaron Moten) has returned to the Brotherhood of Steel, where tensions threaten civil war, and the discovery of cold fusion adds another high-stakes twist. With so many moving pieces on the board, what will unfold next in the wasteland?

Fallout season 2 debuts December 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET on Prime Video, with a fresh episode released each week.
