Weaver E-cology RCE Flaw: CVE-2026-22679 Explained | Cybersecurity Alert (2026)

By using the romanized Chinese name for Weaver, the actor aims to evade detection. Additionally, the actor has been observed running discovery commands like whoami, ipconfig, and tasklist, indicating a comprehensive approach to gathering information and maintaining access.

Security researcher Kerem Oruc has provided a Python-based detection script to help identify vulnerable Weaver E-cology instances. Users are urged to apply updates as soon as possible to mitigate the risk.
